General: The University of Minnesota Men's Club Soccer team is a student-run organization that competes at the NIRSA National Collegiate Club level. It is the only competitive men's soccer team at the University of Minnesota. The club seeks students who are not only committed to succeeding on the field but also in their education and community. The Club Consists of two, approximately 23 manned, teams. There is Gold (A-Team) and Maroon (B-Team). When we aren't playing, often you will find our guys hanging out either watching EPL on weekends or playing FIFA.
Season Schedule: Preseason consists of playing teams from the MIAC Conference (DIII) including St. John's, St. Thomas, Carleton, Macalester, Bethel, Augsburg, Hamline, and Gustavus. The regular season consists of playing against other club teams from around the region, along with the highly competitive boarding school Shattuck Saint-Mary's. Each year we have out of state tournaments. We travel to Colorado every year for the NIRSA Regional Tournament in hopes of gaining a National Tournament bid. We have been a club that consistently wins and advances to Nationals which is usually held in Alabama, Arizona or Texas.
